Railcar Stabilizers

Leaving a car shaker (vibrator) unattended while unloading hopper cars can result in a disastrous accident. For proper support during any type of unloading, it is recommended to install four railcar stabilizing jacks per railcar, one at each end of the car, at the designated location for jacking or lifting the car. Always brake and chock the car first, then install the jacks. Check the jack contact with the car body at intervals during the unloading as the car may rise as it lightens.

Aldon Company, Inc. Railcar Stabilizer with Spin Top Screw helps reduce side tipping when a railcar is being loaded or unloaded. Stabilizers are made to order based on customer provided sizing form.
