Railroad Brake Sticks

No need to climb the ladder or stand between railcars to work the brake! Workers can tighten and release brakes, align car coupler knuckles, operate angle cocks, and reset end-of train warning devices.

Aldon Company, Inc. has a selection of telescoping brake sticks that are available with or without a magnetic handle. Strong neodymium magnets allow you to attach the brake stick to any locomotive or car while performing other tasks.

We also offer fixed length brake sticks featuring carbon fiber construction and non-slip Kevlar cover making them light weight and durable. They are equipped with three strong magnets and the hook is designed with a ceramic polymer head and bronze insert. Our fixed length light weight brake sticks are suitable for most operations performed with a brake stick.

Another addition to our line is our 73” fixed length heavy duty magnetic brake stick. Aluminum construction makes it light weight and durable and it is designed with a non-sparking bronze hook.
