Specifications
Our Roadmaster rolling gauge reader is used to measure the distance between the rails, also known as the track gauge. The track gauge is the distance between the inner faces of the two rails that make up a railway track. This innovative rolling gauge reader is equipped with two sets of six roller bearings that provide control even when passing over gaps and intersections, ensuring that the track gauge remains consistent along the entire length of the track.
More details about our rolling gauge reader:
- Continuous gauging with 2″ clearance above rail.
- Rolls through switches and rail crossings without stopping.
- Two sets of six roller bearings on each side provide gauging control even when passing over the gap between the rail and the V of the frog.
- Horizontal rollers contact rail head 5/8″ below top for accurate gauging.
- Rollers are 40 mm diameter and easily pass through 1-7/8″ standard flangeways.
- Large gauge display.
